Tchaikovsky with a Twist
Work Note:
This piece explores variations on themes from the last movement of Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings. Tchaikovsky's own two themes, as well as the Russian folk songs "On the green meadow" and "Under the green apple tree", are filtered through the soft and wistful atmosphere from the space between the third and fourth movements.
This piece is intended to be played (without pause) between the third and fourth movements of Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, but it can also be played as a standalone piece
